Spaghetti tower

Spaghetti Tower Project

 1st attempt: Failed
                   45 cm tall, collapsed
                   $270 on spaghetti sticks
                   $200 on marshmallows
like: structurally sound, dislike: requires lots of
                                                                 materials to build

It was difficult to construct, for the marshmallows fell apart and the spaghetti was extremely flimsy and unstable. I was unable to overcome it and have to do a different design in order to reach the 80 cm.

                          My redesign will be my
                          following pictures of my 80
                          cm tower.
 Self Evaluation
1. My feelings towards this activity is frustration, for it is difficult to design a stable structure that holds up to the 80 cm. mark.
2. My design was similar, but also very different from others in the room. Some of the concepts were the same, for example, the square structure and the pyramid on top, but no one had one quite like ours.
3. I would add chopsticks because you could use them as your basic structure and use the spaghetti as supporting beam. Chopsticks are much studier, and i would also add hot glue to seal the chopsticks and spaghetti together.
4. My contribution was accountant, designer, and main constructer to the spaghetti tower.

            SUCCESSFUL TOWER!

Total Height: 85 cm

Total Cost: $380
